Steve Byrne from ROCK OF AGES TATTOO SHOP , Austin, Texas

If you are into American traditional tattoos then you have got to love Steve Byrne. His style is as clean, bold and bright as it comes! I for one have been blown away by his work for years now. He's nothing short of a master at his craft, so if you are ever in  Austin, Texas i recommend you stop by "Rock of Ages" and try and get something from him (or make an appointment awhile in advance). I personally cant wait for the day i get to be tattooed by this guy. For more on Steve check out his FACEBOOK or take a look here at the Rock of Ages page.

"The Mighty Creators" art show tonight at THE SPOT BARRIO LOGAN..

I'm not quite sure what they mean by "artist's interpreting the poetry of KIEN LIEU" but i do know that Kien Lieu (also known as "the donger" in skating) can ollie over Andre the Giant if he had too. The dude is a skate legend and I'm not familiar with his poetry but the line up for this show looks really good . So if you are in SD tonight and you want something to do besides go spend a buncha money at a bar and go home alone as always, try something new and check this out..
Its at 1835 main st. SD,ca 92101 6pm till 10pm.

AVENUE-ZEE-MDR paniting in this video from Load Limit and Fresh Paint

check out LOAD LIMIT clothing's new online store

If you have known me awhile then you know that for half my life I've been obsessed with freight trains, graffiti, Rustolium and way they all perfectly go together to make the most addictive cocktail ever known to middle-class white males with authority issues. Well, Some months back i came across the clothing company "Load Limit" that seems to be created for people with my affliction and i could tell right away that who ever is behind this company is a true addict also who seems to have spent some time in a yard or two. I really dig their stuff  so i thought I'd share with you people of the Internet. Although graffiti writers are the most likely to wear this company there is almost no reference to graffiti in the graphics which i like, their graphics are Witty and original while being suddle enough to where only another train enthusiast would pick up on what most of them really mean . Unfortunately theres been nowhere near me to go grab one of their shirts so until now i haven't had a chance to get anything but luckily they now have a website with an online store and i thought i would share it with any of you who might have the same addiction I've been talking about. The online store doesn't have every design I've seen from them by following their instagram which is a bummer but I'm sure some stuff is out of print or sold out and will hopefully come back around. The good news is these guys are always coming up with new graphics that are great so keep your eyes peeled. If your into their stuff check out their site LDLMT.COM  and follow them on their facebook HERE

NEKO & Persue present "chopsticks". A showing of new works at SUBTEXT gallery on the 29th of this month...

I was thinking what to write about my friend, and probably one of my favorite artists out there,  Neko, But then i figured, what can u say about neko that he hasn't already said about himself? Well the answer is easy, say something good! This guy talk alot of shit but he will put it on himself first and never brag. The weird thing is i don't think I've ever heard one person say something bad about him in all the years I've lived here, and in the art/graffiti game thats pretty much unheard of, specially if your as outgoing as him.. This guy is talented, works hard, does his stuff his way, and is the life of the party everywhere he goes. NEKO  has had more art shows  than anyone I've ever known and is another friend i have who inspires me by seeing them do their own thing and not go the traditional route in life and risk it all to follow their true passion and HOPE one day it might pay off. Well Nekos years of work seem to be paying off more and more, and his art keeps getting better and better, the demand keeps growing and it seems like dude is really on his way. If you live in SD and haven't been to one of his shows, or haven't got drunk with this guy then you need to step your game up and get to his next showing at SUBTEXT on the 29th . Ill be posting more on this show right before the day it opens to remind you.. .Keep a look out. check more of his stuff out on his facebook

not backing this crap....at all

......YES, these are apparently real.

pics from the OIL & WATER artshow tonight at "Us Versus Them"...

In case you we'rnt at the "Oil&Water" artshow tonight here's some pics of what you missed. The venue was huge so there was no lines thankfully, infact they had a whole little alley area sectioned off outside to make room for a mini car show, free street taco stand and the 100's of people that showed up. Inside there was free beer, tons of art, and old school choppers to check out in a warehouse type setting that was directly next door to the "Us Versus Them" clothing store.Even though it was downtown in the heart of the gaslamp district, the SDPD never shut the show down (it was rumoured they showed up but didn't get past the wall of big tattooed biker guys at the front). All and all these guys put on a rad show with tons of good art , cars and homies. Ill definitely be back next year. And BTW, if you are one of those girls that likes tattooed, greaser-type white boys in flannels and you missed this show, you are fucking BUMMED, because just about every one of them was at the show! Sorry girls who stayed home, now you know for next year
